$200,000 OTF Grant From the Ontario Government Helps Give Local Museum Needed Improvements
Kingsville, ON – On Wednesday, July 29th, MPP Anthony Leardi and team members of the Canadian Transportation Museum & Heritage Village (CTMHV) celebrated the grand unveiling of the newly renovated print shop. A $200,000 capital grant from the provincial government’s Ontario Trillium Foundation made this print shop possible. The new exhibit will serve to grow the offerings available in the Heritage Village.
In addition to the renovations in the print shop, the CTMHV replaced the roofs on several historic buildings and extended electricity to two buildings. The CTMHV is a place for visitors to experience Essex County’s history. Thanks to the capital grant through the Ontario Trillium Foundation, visitors can continue to experience the Heritage Village.
“I cannot oversell the effects of this grant”, said Robyn Corbett, Curator of the CTMHV. “With this grant, we have been able to make much-needed upgrades that enhance programming and visitor experiences.”
The CTMHV is committed to preserving the history of Essex County and that of the Canadian automotive industry. For more information regarding the CTMHV’s mission, or to donate, please visit www.CTMHV.com
