A letter from our Board of Directors

Welcome to the Canadian Transportation Museum & Heritage Village (CTMHV); one of the most interesting and diverse tourist attractions in Southwestern Ontario.

Situated on 100 acres, we house one of the largest transportations museums in Ontario, as well as a collection of several heritage buildings relevant to our local history and showcasing life in Canada South in the 19th and 20th centuries.

In addition, we offer rental facilities for all sorts of occasions including weddings, business groups and more. With a 50s Diner on site we transport people back to a by-gone era as they dine surrounded in 50s nostalgia. We host multiple and diverse events throughout the year and we love welcoming people from all walks and stages of life. We have something for everyone!

As a registered charity, we have dedicated volunteers, members and staff that continually support the organization. We have and continue to build valued partnerships with community organizations and local businesses to become a community hub and keeper of historical treasures of Canada South.

We encourage everyone to visit with their family and friends! Come and discover the CTMHV and experience the rich and colorful history of Essex County. Take a browse in our gift shop with unique gifts for everyone! Remember to take the time to include a trip to some of the other great attractions our area has to offer including Colasanti’s Tropical Garden, Pelee Island Winery and John R Park Homestead, all located a short distance from our site.

Please take the time out to visit us… whether it is for a guided tour celebrating our past, eating a delicious breakfast or lunch in our 50s diner, attending our many events or to offer us your talents as volunteers… we look forward to welcoming you!

Sincerely,

CTMHV Board of Directors
