The Canadian Transportation
Museum & Heritage Village is joining in the celebration of
Heritage Week with a small exhibit featuring a collection of
historic bicycles including a penny farthing and a bicycle
with wooden rims. As we continue to see municipalities add
bike lanes into their road rehabilitation and construction
planning this exhibit ties in fittingly with this year’s
Heritage Week theme: “2020 Vision: Bringing the Past into
the Future”. There is no charge to see this exhibit, as it
will be featured in the lobby area of the museum.
The admission fee for adults to tour the transportation
museum is $6.00. During Heritage Week, children twelve and
under are free and, with a paid admission fee of one adult,
another can get in free. There will be museum detective
games and children’s automotive-related crafts available
Wednesday, February 19th to Sunday, February 23rd from
10:00am to 2:00pm.
Please note: the museum and diner are closed on Monday, and
the museum is also closed on Tuesday. Heritage Village is
closed for the season, but walking passes are available for
those who wish to stroll through the village during regular
